Practical Manager & HR Training for Nigerian Workplaces
For HR professionals and teams, aspiring HR practitioners, founders and managers who need practical skills they can apply at work.
Systems only work when the people running them know what to do. Training is how that capability gets built — whether you are starting out in HR, already responsible for HR work, or managing a team.
Choose the training that fits the need.
HR training
For aspiring HR practitioners, HR professionals and internal HR teams.
Training should begin with the practical foundations of HR and build from there.
Areas may include
- recruitment and selection;
- onboarding;
- employment documentation;
- employee records;
- HR policies and policy application;
- leave and attendance;
- probation;
- performance management;
- employee relations;
- conduct and discipline;
- exits and offboarding;
- core employment and HR compliance;
- day-to-day HR operations.
Practical HR Foundations
A practical foundation programme for aspiring and early-career HR practitioners, HR professionals who want to strengthen their fundamentals, and people already responsible for HR work who want a stronger practical base.
This programme is currently in development. Dates, fees and enrolment details are not yet confirmed. Join the list to be told when they are.
Founder and manager training
For founders, business owners, managers and team leads responsible for managing people.
Managing people is its own skill set, separate from the work that got someone into the role. This training builds that skill set directly.
Areas may include
- hiring well;
- setting expectations;
- role clarity;
- managing performance;
- giving feedback;
- performance conversations;
- difficult conversations;
- attendance and conduct issues;
- managing employees consistently;
- when and how to involve HR.

Frequently asked questions
Are bespoke workshops available now?
Yes. Bespoke organisational workshops can be discussed and designed now. Structured programmes for individual HR professionals are a separate developing offer.
Can workshops be delivered in person or online?
Yes. Format depends on the audience, subject and practical requirements of the engagement.
Do the structured programmes provide a certified qualification?
Not currently. FormWork training is practical professional development, not an accredited qualification. We will say so clearly if that ever changes.
Can learning be combined with a consulting project?
Yes. This is often useful where managers or HR staff need capability to operate a new performance, policy or organisation system after it is implemented.
Can you customise a session around our own policies or cases?
Yes, where the material is appropriate to use. Bespoke work is designed around the organisation's context rather than delivered as an off-the-shelf seminar.
Performance & Reward
Manager capability pairs naturally with the performance conversations and systems managers are expected to run.
